Trump picks Mad Dog Mattis for SecDef. Holy hell, there IS a Santa Claus...and he brings artillery.

Really like what I've heard about this guy.

I did hear he is not a fan of the "Mad Dog" nickname.

I just heard a Mad Dog quote to the Iraqi leaders "If you ** :-) k with me I will kill you". I like him already.

It would be against the law for him to serve since he has not been out of the military for 7 years.

He'll be confirmed. There are enough dem senators up for re-election in 2018 they won't risk alienating their constituents. In the unlikely event they do, the law will be challenged in the courts as unconstitutional...which it likely is.
