Cosmetic procedures
Has anyone had any? Surgical or non-surgical. Good experience or bad? Asking for a friend.

Just braces in the 6th grade. Thanks for reminding me of that horror story. BAH-HAHAHAHA!!

(Had to wear "headgear". Could have used me to tune in any radio station on the planet!)

@JnJ

I had some little bumps burned off my face yesterday. The shots, 5, to numb hurt but wasn't unbearable. Today I look like a demon who was splashed with Holy Water, lol.

I had a friend who had a face lift.
I thought she was crazy for doing it.
Well, she had lost a lot of weight and had some sagging around her chin and brows and it turned out really nice.

They have this thing called a liquid facelift where they inject fat in your cheekbones and around your lips to puff them up and eradicate the fine lines. The before and after photos looked nice but its pricey -$3500

Have a friend who got breast implants and one who had a tummy tuck. Both say they would do it again in a heartbeat. Bot procedures were very pricey...upwards of $6000. Yikes!

Ooh you just reminded me of another couple of friends.

One had a facelift but her surgery went terribly wrong--surgeon cut a nerve. Her beautiful face has drooped for years on that one side.

My other friend went in for liposuction in her late 40s and died later of complications, leaving 4 teenagers behind. I miss her.

@froggy Such uplifting stories. I'm going in for gallbladder surgery. I remember in the late s 60s mom almost didn't make it.

Much better tech today. Just waiting and wanting it to be over.

There is special daily face lotion that can do the same thing as the surgery. I've had people accuse me of having surgery when using the lotion. Much less invasive and risky.

I had braces as teenager, is that considered cosmetic?

And then I was in a car accident and busted all my front teeth off. I had them all capped/crowned. My fake teeth look better than my real teeth did after braces.

My only concern is that all these broken/fake/crowned teeth probably won't last as long as real teeth and I will need dentures eventually.

@tntrecycling I had that surgery back in 2003. It was done laparoscopically. Took me two weeks to start feeling better--which is no time at all--except that if I could go back and do it all over again, I'd look for other, more natural ways to heal myself. Losing my gall bladder messed up my digestive system really badly. Do your research on the side effects of living without a gallbladder. Be informed on what to expect.

Either way, good luck to you.

@froggy Thanks Yes I'm messed up already Finally narrowed it down. Glad really found a doc that takes time instead of a number. Shame to because after the first of the year I get new doc change is not always good.
