A great day to celebrate

No, not because of the snow. Today at my church, the Pastor had no lay assistant to help with the service and communion. He handled all the speaking parts fine himself, but when it came time for communion, a lady who always sits alone in 3rd pew on the right next to the wall got up, got communion with the ushers, then bowed, walked up on altar. The Pastor handed out the wafers, the lady held the wine for intinction. When all had communed she sat back down, with the Pastor smiling. Because the lady is his wife, and today is their 46th anniversary.

When it comes to our Creator everyday is a day to celebrate his works. Many in our congregation step up for the elderly and park their cars for them so they don't have to walk in these types of conditions. This is a plus because you get to know many who have needs. Its always nice to help others who have needs and how would you know if you never relate with them.
