Another parade
Since the National Restaurant Association Prostart National competition and the Illinois Skills USA competition were on the same day, we had two management teams. The SkillsUSA team won the state of Illinois competition and competed in Atlanta for the national competition this weekend and placed second in the nation!!! They are all Juniors and hopefully they are back next year. Second.In.The.Nation. where's our parade???

Congratulations on another successful year! I'm hoping your Culinary students get recognition from the Mayor with a proclamation. Or contact Jehan Gordon-Booth or Dave Koehler for a State of Illinois proclamation. That wouldn't happen until the Fall Veto session though, since the GA just ended their spring session.

Even Pekin High School gets more publicity than your school and the work you've done. It's all about what makes the front page and what gets buried in a few words on paper.

I guess a small community has more support. Or could be Tazewell County. Might be the care for the community. Ask q would know better.

Or maybe Pekin High School's public relations department (bleeeeeeeeep), er, I mean, are more proactive.
