The Sickle Cell Disease Association of Illinois will be sponsoring a Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Day on Saturday 5, 2015 from 9 a.m. – 12 Noon. This event will be held at the Salvation Army, 401 NE Adams St, Peoria, IL. Some of the events planned for this day will be Dr. Kay Savings, Medical Director of St. Jude Clinic will be speaking at 11am. Come learn more about Sickle Cell disease and its effects. There will be lots of prize giveaways and for the kids, their favorite Super Heroes will be making an appearance; also a Jumping Machine will be provided.
