I am from out of town and from the South. For some time I had been hearing my boyfriend express how excellent Lou's was; however, I believed he was talking it up more so than what it could have been. Boy was I wrong! Lou's put a lasting impression upon me and I must say will be a must stop every time I am within an hour of Peoria. Also I am not a fan of root beer but fell in love with their root beer and I recommend everyone tries it at least once while dining at Lou's. The service was not 5 quality yet with the amount of people that are always at the diner the servers do an excellent job getting the customers orders!

I don't know if I caught them on a bad day, but I stopped by for the first time shortly before they closed for the 2011 season. I have lived in the area for less than a year, but this was not a good early impression of what passes for good food around here. I think my middle school cafeteria had better food. My pork tenderloin sandwich tasted like it was mildly microwaved shortly before being served. The root beer was tasty, but I'm not a huge fan of warm soft drinks.
The service was good considering how busy they were, but for such awful food, the price was way too high.

Lou's is a great nostalgic location in Peoria for fast food and curbside service.
Ater 5 p.m. and on weekends, servers will take your order and deliver it carside.
Choose from burgers, chicken sandwiches, tenderloins and more, plus enjoy homemade root beer.
My favorite is the cheeseburger with pickles and mustard.
