The Bernardi's in Washington is one of my favorite restaurants. We decided to try it on a Thursday so that my boyfriend could try the fried Chicken. I am always wary of new places because I am a vegetarian, but Bernardi's had quite a few choices for me. I don't think they skimp on any portion sizes, and the first time we ate there we were shocked at the bill. For two of us to eat and have soda, it was under $22, and my dinner lasted two nights and my boyfriend's special lasted three.
The second time we went in, we were amazed that not only did they remember us, they actually remembered our names as well. That was great for us and we've been regulars since!

I find it amazing that people view this joke of a restaurant as anything but just that, everything is pre-made and shipped in from the sausage to the "famous" sauce as it is at all of the locations...hopefully one day everyone can expierience true Italian cuisine by a staff that isnt phoney

I believe much of their food is made at the factory in Toluca, which is more than I can say for all of the Sysco supporting restaurants in central IL.

Ate there Wednesday. Service was spotty at best. Pasta was gummy, sauce was burnt, and sausage was over cooked. My wife's chicken was pink inside and had to be sent back. Truly a disappointing evening. May never return.

that's great coming from the owner....can't take true criticizm? I've personally heard several BAD comments of this and the Dunlap store, and as far as the original...now its a franchise operation too, sad to say, times change...R.I.P Mona's

Simple dining.. not fancy but worth the effort. Service was above par. Food was right on. Chicken says it is popular... I do not need to wonder why anymore. yummy :)

The food prices are very reasonable and portions are large. If you don't want to drive all the way to Toluca, Bernardi's is a great choice.

I've been here once and loved it. Finding a parking place is an issue though. Make sure to get there early so that you can find a parking place. I hear that their fried chicken is the best.

Bernardi's is the younger sister restaurant of the famous Mona's and Capponi's restaurants in Toluca, IL. The owner/manager Stephanie Bernardi takes great pride in providing quality food true to her family recipes, while mixing it up a bit with super specials and new menu items. The wine list is great, with a lot of brands not found anywhere else!

I went to the new Bernardi's North in Peoria and is was great food and awesome service.
