I truly love reading Kevster's whining and wimpering because he isn't getting his way and can't influence everybody.

Who is being persecuted? You cry because people question your belief system, all the while condemning those with questions...Irony is a great thing, isn't it.

I realize you DON'T want your own tab, and I realize why. You're not going to be able to stir controversy there. You'd be very lonely, and that's sad. Wait till you experience hell, cuz you're going to.
I feel sad for you guys, and I'll continue to pray. I just hope you don't DIE thinking the way you do, and worshiping the devil.
Cuz if you're NOT Worshiping God, you ARE in fact worshiping the devil.
I don't put down anybody.I tell people about Christ because I don't want them to experience death from sins. I do it because I care and love people.
Good Luck!

shining example of an intolerant Christian. i'm persecuting you for not agreeing with your beliefs, but when you don't agree with mine it's called love. you're trying to open my eyes to save my soul, and i'm trying to open yours to save humanity. it doesn't bother me that you believe in God; what bothers me is that it bothers you that i don't. what's next, an exorcism? drowning me to see if i'm a witch?

it scares me, kev. not your God, but your intolerance and segregation of non-believers. it's the way of the bible or straight to hell. and you wonder why i think it's dangerous. your God isn't judging anybody here, it's YOU.

if you've had enough and want to leave, i obviously can't stop you. but i think this was a great thread that pokes at the heart of the issue.

You know, Sterling, I enjoy meaningful conversations as well where ideas are freely exchanged but the Religious forum is anything but that. I have seen you and others come over specifically to verbally attack TnT and the rest of us. We have been told we are brainwashed and delusional for believing and living the life we chose. I have seen you specifically write posts meant to incite the ongoing conversation. If you have questions great-- ask away. Everyone here knows I will gladly answer them all but not when you get condescending because of what I believe.

If you really want to have a great exchange of ideas then maybe you should lead by example.

As for the rest of you, good luck to you all. The level of discourse here has been reduced to something truly shameful and completely disgraceful and I no longer want to be a part of it. I'll let all you 4th graders take over now.

Sheesh.

I feel you may be confusing me with someone else, froggy. I've never "verbally attacked" anyone on these forums for what they believe in, and I know for a fact I've never called out TnT on anything. I have the utmost respect for TnT and his faith, and he's one of my favorite members on the religious boards. TnT puts up with some scathing comments from people on these forums, stands up for what he believes in as a Jehovah's Witness, and keeps coming back day after day to spread the Word.

I've never called anyone "brainwashed" and "delusional" for their beliefs or for them living a holy life by however they choose to determine what a "holy" life is. I believe religion is a very powerful thing and is instrumental in helping some people find happiness and to build successful relationships, friendships, and communities. I may not agree with what you believe in, but that doesn't mean I think you're wrong to believe in what you believe in. For something as complex as religion, I don't think there are any objectively "right" or "wrong" answers.

And yes, I have said some things to "incite the ongoing conversation"... because that's what people do with ongoing conversations and what keeps them ongoing. Not all questions must be posed with a "?" at the end of the sentence; not all answers come from a direct question.

If you really want to have a great exchange of ideas then maybe you should lead by example.

I'm a little curious as to where I haven't led by example with this... have I tried to quash the discussion anywhere on these boards, told people "you're wrong and you're going to Hell because of it," or accused people of "verbally attacking" me? Because all those things have happened to me right here in this thread, and I don't recall saying anything like that to anyone else here.

I apologize if I have come off as condescending, but sometimes when you try to take the high road it ends up looking like you're looking down on everyone else.

I would really like to thank all that come here and post. I know that some of you dont agree with me or even choose to read what i post. I dothis to sharpen my preaching work. There are many opinions that people have and there are many things that people beleive. Today opened my eyes in a way that has never happened in a long time. Tim.

“…never been a job I've EVER had where I wasn't the hardest worker in the place…It can be proven…Iron worker Foreman on my 2nd job…As a truck driver, highest miles per average in every company I ever drove for…Highest closing percentage when I sold home improvements…telemarketing company I worked for…Design Department manager…Those are the facts....”

HipKat:

Iron working and trucking pay greater than home improvement and telemarketing.

Design Department? Come on…

Why go from lucrative wages to naught? Doesn’t make sense.

Help us who want to follow Jesus. Did you do that, humble yourself for Him? Are you a synonym for Job? Your short resume indicates you do a good job, is that a sly way of meaning Job? You did the best Job ever.

Or are you untrue.

Kevster:

(chuckle) A devil-worshipper, am I? You are rabid and you converted HipKat. Good, kudos, a big 666 to you. Devils, ghosts; get out of here. Boo. I’ll never forget hearing the name Holy Ghost and thinking of Casper, the Friendly Ghost. What people believe is such fun. You have expressed it. Magic. Ghosts.

Hey, Kevvie? There is possible help for your quirk. Hire an escort. Peoria is populated enough. It might involve Negroes.

Hip may be able to help.

I meant to offend no one here (untrue) but come on. Some mindsets are so interesting.

Laughable. Do the same to me and we'll be smooth.

All of this talk about going to heaven or hell. That's like playing tag or other kid games. "No, I'm on gool!"

Heaven is gool to these folk. Us heathens are not on gool and will be running around tagging others forever.

In Jesus name, amen.

Easy. I moved to Peoria.

Trucking was more lucrative than Iron Working back home, because there was very little work. I'm not going into the details of why I left trucking, there were several reasons, but the money I was making selling Home Improvements in Buffalo was twice what I made in trucking.

Then I was manipulated into coming here, where the Home Improvement sales industry is weak, especially in light of the economic crash shortly after I moved here.
