Windows 8

I heard on the news yesterday that Windows 8 is expected to be released later this year. They're hoping it encourages companies to upgrade.

No. Having said that, sounds like people are able to install and run Office XP, with a couple minor glitches.

I guess I'll be forever stuck in the "old ages". Both of my printers are only compatible up to XP (as far as I know) and I hate trashing perfectly good printers (even though they are old) just because HP and MS won't support them.

I'm not feeling it.

I didn't like the Windows phone interface, actually a lot of people didn't the Windows phone sales are horrid, so MS makes a PC OS with the same interface? lol

That interface is optional. You can revert back to the standard windows GUI

I certainly wouldn't buy a touchscreen computer and use as a desktop. Aside from the initial launch screen, what's to touch? If you're buying a tablet, that's a different story, but as a desktop, no way.
