I have owned two homes and have a child...but I am still waiting to feel "grown up", and maybe that is a good thing. When did you feel "grown up".

After coming full circle in my life..which probably came faster than most my age because my father was diagnosed with dementia at a very early age. I helped care for him before and after he was moved to a full care facility until he passed last October. I think that his disease and passing aged my sisters, myself and my mom.

He would have been 60 today.

My thoughts are with you today. The "first's" are rough. My Dad was 60 when he passed.

When did you feel "grown up"?

When karma caught up with me and teenagers put a lit road flare in my plastic mailbox 6 or 7 years ago, melting it to the ground. (I wish I'd have thought of that 20 years ago) Unfortunately.....I will have to loose about a hundred more mailboxes before karma is done with me.

I'm going to say the day I realized I stopped excessive personal vanity -- like not mowing the lawn until I showered and was wearing something semi-nice (in case someone just stopped by) or would go out to check the mail in whatever I was wearing (sometimes a robe)

Leslie you're a big Johnny Cougar fan. I think HE said it best...
"Growin' up leads to growin' old, and then to dyin. And dyin' to me, don't sound like all that much fun."
