What A Weekend on the Peoria.com Forums

Went in to work at 3 PM Friday and just left a few hours ago. Worked 3 PM until 5 AM Friday/Saturday. Slept in my office for a few hours, had a meeting with a beer distributor at 9 AM. ( I may never buy from them again for scheduling a meeting at 9 AM on a Saturday) Had a heavy metal band showcase at the bar Saturday afternoon, normal work Saturday night, got done at 5:30 AM. Started work today at 9:30 for a School of Rock showcase.

I'm exhausted, but the weekend was awesome, made a lot of contacts, and booked a few more special events. Hopefully nobody missed me too much around here

My weekend was VERY laid back. My boys and I picked up some movies at the library on Friday. I got Run Silent, Run Deep... LOVE that movie... and no, I'm not that old, it's way before my time, but I love it anyway.

Hub was away for the weekend on some Scout climbing training event.

Been raining bats and dogs, but I still got in a run. I've just re-started a running program in hopes of maybe running a half marathon. It's still too early to tell if it's beyond my reach, but I'm thinking about it!

Crappy metal music, sleeping a few hours a night on a couch, and too much fried food...not exactly living the life!

I got an unplanned night off from the factory job so I got to spend some time with the wife and kids this weekend. I hope that doesn't screw up next weekends schedule because its my son's birthday.

After 5 weeks of almost non stop banquets, parties, catering, etc., longer than normal days and 6-7 day work weeks, I finally get a break. Two weeks of "back to normal".

Our banquet manager recently quit, so we're trying it out as me doing her job as well. Before, I was her boss. It's tiring, and a lot of times dealing with parents of girls having sweet 16's is NOT fun.

Although a few weeks ago, I did one for a family that owns a high end liquor store. They were so impressed, they gave me a bottle of Opus One 2005 Red Wine and Macallan 25.
