Mowed the yard for the last time yesterday. Cleaned out all the flower beds today. Right now I'm sitting on the patio enjoying a nice glass of Joel Gott 2008 Carbernet watching GB beat Detroit. Lit a fire in the fire pit and waiting for the coals to heat up in the green egg so I can grill some NY strips. This is the life.

Went to the festival of light parade, Just got back from the train show. Notre Dame won again yesterday what a great weekend.

And Kansas St. and Oregon got beat. Go Irish!

Doing a total indoor scrubbing of my house, end to end and then out to wash & detail the car

was in morton to watch daughter pick out her bridesmaids dresses, on saturday. got to see her in her wedding dress and veil (again) . she sure is beautiful and will be a breath taking bride.


on friday her husband to be got a 5 point and a doe. first time i ever saw deer all gutted like that. he was so proud.

yesterday, I spent the day in Poughkeepsie. Walked the Walkway Over the Hudson with old friends. Awful long day on the road though (about 7.5 hrs in the car).

Today, NFL Sunday...

Not a bad weekend.

Celebrated our girls 8th birthday early with out of town relatives. They scored a lot of new clothes, ..much needed because it appears they don't stop growing for a few more years. Got a bunch of pecans shelled and more to shell. Husband made summer sausage and jerky with family and I got to play kid wrangler while dealing with a nasty head cold, but I think it's on the mend. I look forward to my own bed tonight! But still a good weekend.

Now bring on the snow.

Normally, I'd be cheering that thought on, but we need to mow one more time and that day would be this Wednesday..when my husband has the day off. So, it needs to hold out until then.. and when the snowblower is ready to go!

both good points...my snowblower is still 20 miles away in the hangar. Need to go get it.

I'm baking my husband and I a pie. Although, I believe we live in close proximity. Perhaps if you do a drive-by around 6, I can get you a piece to go..? :-)
