VP picks

Anyone want to venture any guesses as to who Romney will choose as his running mate? I'm not sure if this is wishful thinking or not, but I think it will be Marco Rubio- who would be an excellent choice.

I also think there is about a 50/50 chance Obama will dump Biden for Hillary.

whoever he picks it will be a calculated pick to garner votes in a swing state he will need to reach 270. May very well be Rubio, depending on Florida polling in the next few months. 29 electoral votes.

He could get Jesus Christ and he would still lose.

If he got Christ, he'd lose for sure. The left would come out in droves to vote against the real Messiah.

I've been saying Rubio for months now. My guess hasn't changed.

I am not from the left i just can't stand romney. Why can't we get a person running for president who has the hands of a working man. Cant wait for 2016 to see how out of touch with the working class the next group is. Is it to much to ask to get a president that is a vet and has used a shovel for more than a ground breaking.

There is a much greater chance than 50/50 that Biden wuill be dumped in favor of Hillary.

Legend has it that Rubio will not be picked becasue coming from Florida, Jeb Bush would, in the end, be upstaged once and all. I dont agree with thst but that is what has been reported.

A much more likely choice is Se. Rob Portman from Ohio. He has lots of govt experience and no republican has been elected without carrying Ohio.In 2008 Obama carried Ohio, At this point I would bet the ranch it will be Portman.

I don't think it will be Rubio...and I don't think there is any chance that Biden will be dumped.

I really hope there is something to the idea of Obama dumping Biden for Hillary. That would be pretty phenomenal. As far as I can tell, Biden hasn't done ****. It would also set Hillary up for a 2016 run.

I really hope its not Portman. BORING!!!

Jeb Bush was on record saying he hoped Romney would pick Rubio so I'm not sure the concern about upstaging Jeb is correct.

Leslie, Curious as to why you think Biden won't be dumped.

Personally, I wouldn't care one way or the other. I think if Hillary went on the ticket in short shrift everyone would remember why they hated her so much not too long ago. Plus, if you want to talk baggage....

Romney's contracted with ACME Laboratories to build a VP robot with similar views as his own.

I lost all thoughts of maybe voting for romney when he said that even Jimmy Carter would have gone after bin laden, Jimmy Carter Graduated from the Naval Academy at the top of his class and was a decorated Commander in the Navy, Mitt Romney has a yacht and a sailors hat.

That still doesn't change the fact that he was the 2nd worst president in history.

that's not entirely true. Carter graduated in the top 10% of his class, but not "at the top" of his class. He resigned his commission at the rank of Lieutenant, which is two grades short of Commander. He "qualified for command" of a submarine, but never actually commanded one.

So to say he was a decorated Commander is not accurate.
