ahhh.. frozen. And Schnucks is the only place that carries it. I learned that early on. Every year I have to make one of each Strawberry Rhubarb for John and Strawberry Rhubarb Custard for my dad. I always cheat and make them no sugar added (diabetics) so far they’re none the wiser.

you could just swap out the sugar for splenda..i have done that in the past.. mascerate (sp?) the fruit w/ splenda.. and also add splenda to the custard..

My husbands parents have fresh garden rhubarb. Esparagus too. Oh and tonight I'm frying up a few mushrooms we found early in the week.

i need to go check our woods...I'm just a bit nervous about the huge ravine...I'm not good at repelling...

Or maybe I'll check out the woods at my mom's house..my dad used to find pounds of them!

Hey, I could bring my hiking boots over one day! lol We have a few acres here to look, but the morales we have for tonight come from an undisclosed location! When I was a kid and went hunting with my dad we'd find them by the pillowcase full. They've since sold their house, and as far as I know the people who bought it don't have anyone living there....I could always sneak down back.......lol

Our woods are perfect..north hills, lots of rotting bark and trees...moss...may apples...the whole bit. Just no mushrooms!
