Requests for money and free stuff... on the Peoria.com Forums

We've been getting reports of people asking for temporary loans on the forums, or free big ticket items on the classifieds.

Please keep these requests off of PDC. We can't vouch for the posters of these messages, and PDC'ers should exercise extreme caution. Too many times I've heard from members that the stories they've been told turn out to be false, and this type of thing ends badly.

yes really, if you're going to beg for money, please get a blog with a paypal button and then feed it to PDC. That seems to be the acceptable method.

@AV8R: Blegging is as old as blogging. He's got a right to ask for donations to support a community blog. I get the impression you're only pissy about it because you disagree with his politics.

I don't really have any love of beggars in general, but yes, his politics annoy me as well.
Must have to do with being raised in a family with a strong work ethic. Money shortages are dealt with by hard work and belt tightening, not sitting on your @ss with your hand out.

And if I recall, he was also asking for donations to pay his utilities. That goes beyond the community blog ruse.
