Can't remember where I read that. I just thought, geez what a jerk.

The guy is slimy, the worst kind of slimy. I'd sooner vote for Obama.

I'd have to agree. I'd like to support Newt, but he is too big government for me.

I'm torn. Ron Paul and Newt are clearly the most intelligent people running for President, but I don't think Newt is presidential material.

I've read, one of his wife's came down with a terminal illness and he said, So Long and divorced her?

that's a lot of hogwash perpetuated by the mainstream media. First off, she is still alive to this day. Add to that SHE filed for divorce months earlier. "In 2011, their daughter said that it was her mother who requested the divorce, that it happened prior to the hospital stay, and that Gingrich's visit was for the purpose of bringing the couple's children to see their mother, not to discuss the divorce"

To be fair, the only refutation of this story has come from his daughter after he announced his candidacy in 2011. Besides, he has a laundry list of ethics violations and questionable behavior, both documented and rumored, many that he glibly doesn't bother refuting.
FFS, he resigned from the House for the exact same thing that got Clinton impeached! The fact that he is even a viable candidate shows that the GOP is scraping the barrel (again) and willing to take the shelling that is sure to come as the primaries start.

And don't believe JnJ when she gushes over Romney. The guy is slimy, the worst kind of slimy. I'd sooner vote for Obama.

Wow. What makes him slimier than Newt?

He perjured himself before a federal grand jury and suborned perjury from witnesses? I was not aware of that, and in fact cannot find any factual basis for your statement.

You're right, he did and that was his fault. But it was your guy who trumped up the skeletons while committing the same "sins".
In the meantime, Newt's party shuffled him out the back door, and yet, here he is again, as your parties presidential candidate. Should make for some good reminiscing between him and Boehner.

Regardless, he "advised" the leaders of the financial industry that screwed this country, economically, and sent the world into an economic tail spin.
Why would anyone support that? Was 2008 THAT long ago?

I remember when Obama was appointing cabinet members that had ties to the financial industry and the Republican outrage on here. (Yes, I was naive to the whole thing back then). How is this different?? Newt is the same ol' same ol'. It's a joke that he's getting any public support. I guess it makes sense though that Wall Street favorite political party would support Newt.
