It wasn’t a racial thing Yoda, it was a communication thing. I wouldn’t care one way or another what race she belonged to as long as I could understand her, but I thank you for projecting that judgment on me. Frankly, you may be right since she told me to come back after I went through menopause. I considered that my out, it’s been a year and pursuant to her advice.. I still don’t have to go see a doctor.

WOAH!!! A cute Doctor? A female? As a preference I don’t want any girl around me if I’m being forced out of my clothing
Why is that just curious ? You prefer a male to watch ? |

I guess I really don't care any more as long as the general criteria is met:
1) no pain 2) warm speculum 3) stirrup covers optional 4) fast |

I know I broke the rules (no boys allowed)
When I had to have my prostate exam. I picked this cute little girl doctor, as uncomfortable as it was, but my sole motivation was. SMALL FINGERS |

It depends upon the person. I really liked my previous ob/gyn who was a female. But she left... and I was really upset when she did. I do have a female now, and I'm just not as comfortable with her as I was with the previous one. She's okay, but she's not GREAT.
My first ob/gyn was a guy and he was great also. Very sweet and kind. The worst smear I've ever had was from a woman, Nurse Practitioner. So I really know the sex of the doc doesn't matter to me. Not getting into any details, but my pap smears are more difficult than most. My doc has a note that is taped to my file and I am to remind her, (or anyone else who is attempting to do a female exam) to remember to the read the note first. :-| |

Christi, don't you know how important it is to have Pap Smear yearly? Not decades! |

I do my best to avoid them at all costs and manage to weasel out of any medical procedures that require being touched for as long as I absolutely can. I make it in once or twice a decade whether I need it or not though.

It’s a bad thing for me to deal with doctors under any circumstances so if I could get one on a psychi basis I'd probably go for it. But they’ve been saying I’m pre-cancerous for 30 years now and I’ve survived this long. I know I’m supposed to go but it takes me 5 – 10 years to build up the courage.

That’s what they told me, however my grandfather ended up with cancer and they killed him in under a year. I’ve been pre-cancerous and I’m still kicking without going every year. Honestly, the amount of anxiety that would cause me just to go.. I think I’d rather kick off.
