Former Dallas Cowboy great Michael Irvin coming to Peoria!
He will speak at the Mitchell “JJ” Anderson All-Star Basketball Kick-Off Luncheon, which will be held August 13 from 11:00am until 1:15pm at the Par-A-Dice Hotel in East Peoria. Doors open at 10:30 am, with the keynote speaker beginning promptly at 11:10 am.
Michael Irvin is a former wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. Irvin was drafted as the 11th pick of the first round of the 1988 NFL Draft. He played with the Cowboys from 1988 until 1999, helping the team secure three Super Bowl Championships in the 1990s. Irvin finished his career with 750 receptions for 11,904 yards and 65 touchdowns. His 47 100-yard receiving games remains the third most in NFL history. Michael Irvin was inducted to the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor in 2005, the Professional Football Hall of Fame in 2007, and the 2007 class of the Texas Sports hall of Fame.
