Hello Peoria.com! - My name is Jimherr - Nice to meet you!
I am a counselor in the Peoria Metamora area and am currently open for new clients. My specializations include adult ADHD,
anxiety, depression, trauma, anger issues, relationship conflicts and negative self esteem. My approach is to use cognitive behavioral treatment which is a short term evidenced based approach. One problem of using short term evidenced based treatment is we come up with solutions quickly and I am always looking for new referrals?

There isn't anybody here on PDC that doesn't suffer from one of the above....

Meanwhile, I spend my days taking care of the yard and such. I am don't know anyone here in Peoria and I am not familiar with Peoria, so this is all a new learning experience for me. Having never moved in my entire life I feel like "a fish out of water."

I joined this forum because I have been accepted to Bradley University (and I am so happy and excited about it)! I was hoping to find information to aid me in search of certain things, such as restaurants and shopping.

I do not live in Peoria. I live in Springfield and I will be commuting to my classes, I am sure this will feel daunting - but in the end worth it (I hope!).

I like the Peoria area, but to be honest I am a bit intimidated, probably because I do not know my way around.

I don't know what I am supposed to say in my introduction.
