Our church has LUNCH! Dayspring has a potluck lunch at noon, followed by Sunday afternoon service at 1:15pm.

I attend Northwoods and I have now for about 4 years. While our church is very large, we have met a lot of people that have made it feel very small. While it is impossible to know everyone, it is very easy to get involved with a small group and grow from there. We are very involved, and I think that helps to get to know people. It would be very easy to slip in and out of the back door and not talk to anyone. We actually did that for a few months.
Our services usually have around 4-500 people. Our worship is very exciting but not so loud that it will bother most people. Pastor Cal is an amazing man. He gets very excited and tends to jump around the stage a lot. (which I like) Northwoods is not for everyone and we don't pretend that it is. However, please give it a shot and form your own opinion. There are a lot of great churches around the Peoria area. Riverside is one of them. John King is a great man and wonderful pastor. Richwoods and St Paul also have some awesome stuff going on. Don't sell yourself short. Check out a few churches and then determine which one is speaking to you the most. * This message has been revised. |

Gina, visit them and you will know which one is right for you. The church I called home for many years I knew was right for me from the start.
Tried a new place because my boys were interested in their youth program, something that was weak in the church I loved. Didn't really care for the new one right off the bat. Stayed for another service and RAN! (figuratively speaking, of course) My first instinct was spot on. |

I'll admit I am a bit bias, but Lutheran Theology is the only way to go

Unfortunately, I did not. My plan was to go to church on Saturday, but Saturday church is so out of my routine that I forgot. I just went to my old church on Sunday. Sometimes old habits are hard to break.
