Sorry, this is not about World Peace, but peace among warring gangs...in Peoria..in 1993.
While gang violence is not the main reason for gun violence today as it was then, this
is what was done to bring a truce between the 2 major gangs of Peoria. Wallace Bradley, a former gang member from Chicago was brought to negotiate a truce, then work with the city and social agencies to provide job training and avenues toward employment. This classic CAPtions revisits that event, and now asks the question: What can we do to ensure training and employment for members of "nations", when college graduates and corporate middle managers can't find a job, other than retail or minimum wage?
