I just wish mine looked like the laundry was always done instead of always having 2 or 3 loads sitting around.

In the top picture how do they even open the lid of the washer/dryer if they are top load? Which they appear to be.....

It is an awesome room though! This years winter project is to finish my laundry. Adding white cabinets, a corner shower, and even some granite countertop. It's just DOING it! Of course, even when mine is done it won't come close to the photo. I like the fuzzy rug under that awesome chair, but just not practical for me. I don't use a sewing machine!!

I will needle and thread buttons. And I will use an iron to put on a patch. That is where I draw the line.

When our kids or my husband get a tear or a hole and want something sewn and they ask me..my reply is that I CAN do it, but if they want it to look nice, they need to ask a grandma!

I had a sewing machine as a child and I made Barbie and Doll clothes. I know how to use one enough to 'fix' something or make a blanket (long, consecutive stitches..I can even change bobbins/thread), but I don't own one for fear I'd get asked to 'make' things.

I was thinking the same thing and where do you fold of iron anything? Maybe there is a separate "purdy" room for that.

I was thinking maybe the same magic fairy that keeps that room looking so nice, probably sprinkles fairy dust and the laundry jumps into the washer through a crack...and then over to the dryer..all on its own. How I wish I had a laundry fairy. I hear they are priceless (or is that pricey?)

If my house looked like that room, I wouldn't live here.

I'm working on ours right now. Going to move to front loaded machines so we can put counter tops right over the top of the machines for folding.
