"Ronald Reagan would have, based on his record of finding accommodation, finding some degree of common ground, as would my dad — they would have a hard time if you define the Republican party — and I don’t — as having an orthodoxy that doesn’t allow for disagreement, doesn’t allow for finding some common ground," Bush said, adding that he views the hyper-partisan moment as "temporary."
"Back to my dad’s time and Ronald Reagan’s time – they got a lot of stuff done with a lot of bipartisan suport," he said. Reagan "would be criticized for doing the things that he did." |

He and George Will should go have a beer together. It would stand to reason that he, one of the entrenched, would think that government is all about compromise. Look what it brought us...the reality of compromise is now coming in to full view. You will see more and more voter backlash against bureacrats that want to do nothing more than manage the chaos, and real reformers like Scott Walker will be rewarded.

Look what happened in the 90's...Clinton and Gingrich worked together, compromised, and we had great growth.
There needs to be more compromise, from both sides, in order to start getting out of the mess we're in. I have a lot of respect for Jeb. If it weren't for his last name, he'd be a favorite to run for president, or at least VP. He's extremely popular with women, Hispanics, and blacks. |

One time this gentlemen running for judge showed up at a Green Party meeting, presenting himself as a moderate, I really wanted to ask him how he gets along with a wife who posts extreme political views on the internet. But I was polite and kept my mouth shut. The next time, I probably won't.

I really don't understand the need for these personal attacks. Disagreeing with someone's politics is one thing but bringing a person's spouse in the discussion is just wrong.

I agree. There are no need for personal attacks, most of the PDCers are good, decent people.. with the exception of One.

I'm a little surprised and disappointed myself, actually. Some I might expect it from but not Joepy. I don't consider my views extreme at all, in fact, given the results in Wisconsin and elections across the nation since 2010, I think they are more mainstream than not. The real complaint is that they don't match theirs.
November will tell. |

A position that compromise in government is a bad thing is VERY extreme, in fact its almost undemocratic.
Our very government was set up as a democracy where compromise is REQUIRED in order for the government to function. We are seeing the results right now that the failure to compromise is hindering economic recovery and running our country into the ground. And of course, this failure is a self-fulfilling prophecy and confirmation that the government is ineffective... |

Joepy I suggest you jump out the window of a hundred story building. No? You don't want to? Fine. Just jump out the 50th.
