For anyone that's followed the things I've been saying or writing, you know I've taken steps closer to having a relationship with God. And I really believe that where this journey started, at Riverside Church, has had a lot to do with it. I've been to a lot of churches, but never to one that is so warm and welcoming to strangers or is so anti-religion.

The church's vision is to bring people to know Jesus Christ.

I know, before some of you say anything, what you're going to say already, so I'm not talking to people who are adamant non-believers, but to those who have a curiosity, or have strayed or would like to just see what all the hoopla is about, I cordially invite you to join us this week on Sunday morning. Kevster, his family and I go at 9AM, but usually start out downstairs at the Gathering Ground for coffee and a doughnut (.25 ea).

I think you'll enjoy it immensely, and I promise, I won't call you out on here if you show up.

ingrained? i wouldn't go that far. and yes, some aspects of their culture is very spiritual, and there are Japanese christians too, so what?

Believing something because you want to doesn't make it real.

Trust me, Tape, there are plenty of things you believe that doesn't make them real to other people

You say that like you think I refuse to listen to reason or admit when I'm probably wrong, which may be true for you but certainly not for me.

Wow, for a group of people that were complaining about how the Christians descended on them in the Atheist thread, they sure were quick to put us down in a very religious thread.

That was me that "complained" in the atheist thread, but I'm not coming down on anyone here. I would probably take him up on the offer to attend a service, so I have a bit of perspective about what he posts about. It's all good in my book.
