For some reason for the last year I have not been on my game. I have fallen away from my faith. We were ready to be Baptized and started smoking again started missing meetings and not reading the Bible like I use to. I still understand what i should be doing and I still have a outstand love for God. I have come to Love the things in the world more than i should. My time is for things in the world other than my faith. I know what i should be doing but just cant make it happen. Just a thought. Tim

It happens, Tim. I can only advise that you find people that you can look up to and spend as much time with them as possible. For me, it's when I'm alone that I feel the most vulnerable, but when I'm with my friends or at church that I can feel God's strength and that I'm invincible!
Everyone backslides, because in reality, we are sinful beings who fall short of the God's grace, but thin about what this day means. Christ has risen. He lives so that you can backslide and come back again. He's right there with open arms, waiting for you to reach out to him. |

Well said, HK.
TnT, I, too, encourage you to find someone who's going to inspire you again. My regular Bible Study sessions have helped me out tremendously but there are times when I feel like I'm slacking or that I'm not feeling God in my life like I need to. These are the times when I have to work hard to go to church, read my Bible and get closer to other Believers or I know I'll backslide. But these are also the times when I ask God to not let go of me and to let me feel Him in my life more than ever. He never fails. We're here for you if you need us. Drop me a line if you'd like to try out our church for a little inspiration. |

The Best part about feeling God's love is that it allows us to share that love with others in a way we may not be able to with out him. We got you T. You can always hang out with us at Riverside!

Nope. There are no conditions to Jesus loving you. The conditions are to you being saved, which are up to you to accept.

You do realize not all people of faith are judgmental and angry. Its quite prejudice to lump everyone together.

Hey, TnT...good to "meet" you the other day LOL
Anyway, I think this goes with other aspects in life than just religion. People get in habits, ruts, the days just become rote and monotonous. Sometimes it is easy to take the simple way out instead of challenging ourselves. Sometimes it takes external inspiration or a deeper look within. I know I get in culinary ruts where everything I do seems to be "the same ol'" and I'll pick up a cookbook or read some articles on line, get the culinary juices flowing (no, not beef stock!), come up with some new ideas and get back to some hard core cookin'! |

Some religions are too judgmental, set people up for failure, depression, etc. If a person isn't feeling good about their faith, they may want to try worship in a different congregation for awhile.
