Speaking of Bachman-Turner...I heard an interesting tidbit about their song "Takin' Care of Business". Originally, it had so many different chord changes that no one in the band (except its author) wanted to play it, so it got cut back to the same 4 chords over and over.

Oooops....sorry to hijack the thread.

For some reason, I have a soft spot for America's sappy songs. And even 20+ years after Freddie's death, Queen is still awesome. "Some Kind of Magic" is one of my favorites. Nobody took command of a stage like Freddie.

@skutfarcus:

Freddie was the man (in that way) and Brian May is just sick on the guitar. The deserved to fill the arenas.

The classic opening line "Jeremiah was a Bullfrog" - Joy to the World by 3 Dog Night. It's a great song, though.

And when I first saw the title come out years ago, I seriously thought they were covering the Christmas song.

Always thought an orchestra should have covered Bohemian Rhapsody. Maybe one has. It was brilliant. I saw Queen in 1980. Think it was the 4th concert I saw. It was so mindboggling different than Cheap Trick/Foreigner, Ted Nugent and Heart.
