As for vandalism to the park...that's unfortunate. BUT,
Cancealed Carry, also carries a serious amount of RESPONSIBILITY. A permit holder would NOT whip out his gun at a jaywalker or vandal. PLEASE, let's not insult anyone's intelligence. There is training and evaluation involved. I carried a handgun for many years in personal security. You are NOT just trained in how to use a gun...but how to use your HEAD. That's where many would fail, and NOT get a permit.

Hipcat - when you can't go to a park because the guys are stalking you in their car, then no, it is not ok. If anyone wants to see this firsthand - go down to the little park by the waterworks. It has a great view of the river.

I'm still trying to find out where the hell is Pleasure Drive. I got a item on my tax bill for a Pleasure Drive.

IS Grand View Unsafe? I never thought it was safe to begin with. When does a street become safe? Is that a certification or something? Someones opinion? Statistics? What difference does it make if you are the one robbed and killed; statistics don't mean much to that person.

Do yourself a favor and head down to the park and get back to me. Take your kids too. They'll love it. The park is by the waterworks; it's on the other side of 29 from the bottom of GrandView Dr.

I am not suggesting violence against homosexuals, but having a guy give me the international sign for handjob on his steering wheel is not my idea of a good time at the park.

I wouldn't take myself down there. Regardless if there were gays or not.. I wouldn't take my kids to any downtown parks either.. Has nothing to do with gays.
