She wants to impliment a 2008 spending freeze- which means we go back to what we were spending then- make tax cuts permanent- repeal obama care- defeat any energy bill that puts more regulation and taxation- defeat anymore stimulis spending- work towards a balanced budget.

the last time we had a balanced budget was under the republican congress and senate- with clinton signing onto the bills passed by republicans- i just hope obama will be as good as clinton was working with the republicans to stop this crazy spending, and get this economy going.

That is her positions as we know them- she will be on chris wallace this weekend- we should know more after that.

Ps They are saying that she never has had a job, but did not pay her income tax? I don't know about you, but if you don't have a job income tax is pretty hard to pay. She got her house repoed- she is not alone in this economy- She is able to talk to the average american like few policians can, because she has struggles like average americans. She will win this race mostly on her conservative views.

Christine O’Donnell on the issues-from her website.

Jobs Believes jobs are created when businesses are freed from endless taxes and bureaucratic red tape.
Security Believes terrorism is an act of war requiring the full force of our intelligence and military resources rather than granting terrorists precious Constitutional rights and outsourcing our foreign policy to the U.N.
Debt Believes heaping trillions in debt on the backs of our grandchildren is immoral and that Congress is elected to make the hard choices to preserve our nation’s future prosperity.
Taxes Will fight to remove the crushing tax burden faced by American families and businesses and dramatically simplify the tax code.
Life Strongly believes in protecting the sanctity of life at ALL stages.
Energy Supports a market-based approach to energy solutions that will keep competition high and energy prices low.
Values Believes our country was founded on core values of faith, family and freedom and will fight to defend those values. Will always fight for maximum choice for parents about where to educate their kids, including private, parochial and charter schools or in the home.
Spending Believes unrestrained government spending is eroding our freedom, destroying our economy and ceding our sovereignty to foreign debt- holders like China.
Accountability Denounces corrupt pork-barrel politics, including earmarks, and will fight for increased transparency and performance information for every Federal program.
Healthcare Believes that the solution to the healthcare crisis is less government meddling in the doctor/patient relationship, more competition in the insurance market and more choice for families about their health plan.
Gun Control Christine’s strong support of 2nd Amendment rights has earned her an “A” rating from the NRA.

The Lame Duck threat!

Cap and Trade hangs in the balance of Delaware Senate Race,

Christine O’Donnell could stop job-killing energy bill, Castle won’t

WILMINGTON, DE – As the US Senate GOP primary in Delaware heats up between Christine O’Donnell and Mike Castle, a new dynamic could bring national attention and national forces into the race.

“What separates this race from every other US Senate race is that the winner will be seated on November 3rd, rather than in January with the rest of the Senator-elects,” said Christine O’Donnell for US Senate spokesman Yates Walker. “That fact alone makes this race arguably the most important Senate race in 2010.”

With the Democrats in Congress and in the White House expecting defeat in the November mid-term elections, many on the left are already discussing a full court press in the “lame duck” session to pass major legislation, including Cap and Trade, according to the Wall Street Journal. (HL 1)

“There’s nothing more dangerous for American prosperity than Democrats with nothing to lose,” continued Walker. “Christine O’Donnell will provide the stopgap for leftwing lunacy in the lame duck session.”

O’Donnell has pledged to vote against the “job-killing” Cap and Trade bill. Rep. Mike Castle was one of eight Republicans to vote for the Waxman-Markey sponsored Cap and Trade bill in 2009. (HL 2) The bill remains stalled in the Senate, where Castle, if elected, could help push it over the finish line.

“Passing Cap and Trade would throw sand into the gears of the American economy,” said Christine O’Donnell. “It would cripple our already struggling markets, taxing goods and services at every point of production and consumption. This bill would kill jobs and drive up prices on everything from peanuts to gasoline.”

Rising in the polls, Christine O’Donnell has taken the offensive against her opponent Mike Castle’s voting record. (HL 3) Castle was rated one of the most liberal Republicans in Congress by the American Conservative Union.

“I will continue to hold Mike Castle to account for his liberal voting record,” said O’Donnell. “He has already voted for Cap and Tax, and he will do it again.”

Um, well, actually you do. The Republicans need to gain a majority in either the house and/or the senate to stop the destructive anti-business job-killing policies of the current Administration.

Leslie said: "At least I provided evidence for why I think that...you just spouted off the party line."

So because its the "party line" I'm not allowed to believe it or say it also? As for reasons, Riverman just laid it out pretty nicely. Not sure I can improve on his post.

Typical teabagger wet dream ideology. Sounds great in theory, but there are no actual solutions presented, other than "do the opposite of whats happening now", with absolutely no idea as to what that would be.

The only solid thing that Rivermen presented in that wall of text is that she would vote against cap and trade.

So she is against the Wars and Bush's tax cuts? Both of which are putting Trillions ontop of Trillions on future generations.

If that is a value that you support then you should be a democrat. In my lifetime, the democrats are the only party who has shrunk the government. The size of government has always increased under republican control.

O'Donnell has never held a job and she expects to know what its like for working americans in a depressed economy.

Her personal finances are a mess and suspicious. THe IRS has an open case on her. She sold her foreclosed home to her campaign staffer before the bank could take possession. She attributes her financial problems to misunderstandings and errors.

If she can't take care of her personal finances then I don't want her anywhere near our taxes.
