And so...after 6 pages of posting on this thread, are things cleared up as stated in original post title?

I think not! Especially when you went and brought opie into the picture!

I have to say, this thread has been interesting - - - but, Mr. Steamroller, what you say in here could very well be important - how do you know that one of the individuals reading your post isn't a hiring manager who might take pity on you and offer you work????? Maybe you should take the time and effort to clean up your act, use spelling and punctuation and take some of the suggestions provided to you seriously. Frankly, reading your posts, and being an individual in the position of being able to hire workers, I wouldn't give you two cents. If you can't make a good impression here - - where people for the most part are pretty accepting and willing to be helpful - - - then why would I want you in front of my customers???

This is a joke right? The only thing he is guilty of is bad spelling and grammar. He has been nothing but polite to all the haters here. He could have easily gone off and started calling people names and talking crap but he hasn’t. Sure looks like this place is "accepting and willing to be helpful". More like "kick someone while they are down". How about you offer to meet him in person to see what kind of person he is? Maybe you could give him a couple pointers on what he's doing wrong. The most you would be out is 30 minutes and the cost of a coffee. That would be helpful.

I'm so proud of our little clique here- I remember back in the days when we had members that went against the grain, rubbed the almighty moderator (ONE moderator in charge, we all know who it is) the wrong way, and they (Reno, Grammas Attic) had the motivation to start their own board.

I used to get so mad at Reno's posts- but his posts are NOTHING compared to how you people treat guests NOW.

I've been a member of this board for over two years, and even though I don't post much, I visit at least every few days. I AM SO ASHAMED at how you people are acting, and I'm SHOCKED THAT the so called MODERATORS are allowing this abuse and behavior.

So, considering past experience, this thread will be locked for "Contempt of Moderator" and I will possibly be banned- So be it.

You know this used to be a decent place to come to talk to people.

Now there are Mods here that think they have an open ticket to attack people? WTF is that $hit?

Since when is posting something "intelligent" a basis for being allowed on this Forum? Any questions look at the A-Z threads and "What are you doing" threads....Should the people starting them be banned too?

You mention him being disrespectful, Show me a post he made that attacked somebody where he wasn't trying to defend himself. He comes on here asks for help and you people jump down his throat. Ever wonder why people get depressed? Might want to consider that one.

I am absolutely appalled at the attitude and approach some of you have taken. Its unbelievable how you are acting to a new member. I am ashamed to read some of these posts.

I am probably one of the most crass people on this board, somebody get out of line I am usually the one that gets in trouble and sent to time out for it...Now the people that whine about my comments are attacking somebody with NO merit whatsoever.

Get over yourselves and realize that maybe, just maybe the guy sincerely is trying and wants to improve his position in life. Apparently there is something wrong with that in your eyes.

Once again I am VERY ashamed of this place.

Ron,

Looks like we have the same idea.

Been there!
Not as an inmate, but as a field trip in High School for the Scared Straight program.
It worked!

Can we have it at the old Hanna City work camp?

How about somewhere south of Forest Hill?
