Are you implying that this situation might be making me a little bit batty Raoul? Because I resemble that remark!

This is my first time reading this thread. You guys need to give me a "heads up" on the hilarious ones.

I realize mine might be the odd man out opinion, but SS post on the fridge had me really bustin a gut.

Um, You were just kidding, right SS?

All riiiiiiight ... someone else who "got" my tale!

JnJ, I'm sooooooo glad to learn that the obvious nature of my "icebox tall tale" wasn't lost on everyone! Almost everybody, perhaps ... but not everyone. The flak I took on this issue was downright amazing! You'd have thought I berated our Christi in public, wishing upon her the Ten Plagues of Egypt!

Anyway, the matter appears to now be closed. True, I may have ended up on someone else's Ignore List, but that's on him ... not on me. What counts is that Christi herself caught the gist ... as I now know, did your own self. For this acknowledgement, you have my wholehearted thanks!

Why, I'm half-tempted to kiss that avatar of yours!

{sorry about the "girly-kiss" icon ... can't seem to find a "man-kiss" smiley}

sigh ... one more time.

The "icebox tale" was a story. The comment on "tinfoil" ... was just one of several components from which that tale was constructed. The reason this was done is simple ... humor.

I suspected that Christi knows me well enough to have immediately recognized the jocular nature of what was being offered. Turns out I was right ... she did {as did a few other folks}. Said so in her own words.

What I didn't count on was that a number of people would over-react to the whole thing, big-time ... misconstruing a story whose obvious exaggeration I thought should have been entirely apparent. This led to some rather heated exchanges, as shots were fired in all directions. Fortunately though, the whole matter has now been pretty much put to rest.

Chalk it all up to life in cyberspace ...
