Any ideas where I can find one locally ? The one below is on E-bay but does not have to be a rocker type ?

They are harder to find, as I was looking for a couple to take camping. We needed something very light weight to carry, and wanted them to fold up in the car. I found a couple at Wal Mart that are close to that, but a little heavier weight. They had the webbing, but made a little better than the old kind.

Sporting goods stores, like Dick's or someplace where they sell camping and hunting gear, like Bass Pro Shops?

Yesterday I did check out the ones at Walmart and K-mart but they sat too low for me with my hip replacements.

The one pictured above the bidding ended it went for $ 24.00 plus for my zip shipping would have been $ 12.00.

It seems like they are making chairs lower than they used to. The old webbed chairs bent so easily and were not real safe to sit in. Do you want a lawn chair that is easily carried, or is it going to sit on a balcony? I love my wooden rocker the best for comfort. Wouldn't want to haul it around, though.

Raoul Thanks for the links. Seeing your avatar made me think I should go to Dicks Sporting Goods tomorrow to see if they have anything that would work for me.

The bag chairs are replacing the aluminum folding chairs... I prefer the bag chairs when camping. They had some nice ones on sale at Gander Mountain last week.

Tim-- Not yet but watching a couple nice ones on e-bay.

I have sat in those bag chairs and again not the best thing for me with the hip replacements.

You might want to keep your eye on garage / estate sales for the aluminum chairs.
