If we ever get a time machine lets go back to 1993 and you tell them that.

He was never convicted of domestic battery, but his ex had a restraining order against him and him against her.

His assault on a police officer was pled down from a felony to a lesser crime and then eventually negotiated out in exchange for classes.

In 2005, Zimmerman, then 20, was arrested and charged with “resisting officer with violence” and “battery of law enforcement officer,” both which are third-degree felonies. The charge was reduced to “resisting officer without violence” and then waived when he entered an alcohol education program. Contemporaneous accounts indicate he shoved an officer who was questioning a friend for alleged underage drinking at an Orange County bar.

In August 2005, Zimmerman’s ex-fiancee, Veronica Zuazo, filed a civil motion for a restraining order alleging domestic violence. Zimmerman counterfiled for a restraining order against Zuazo. The competing claims were resolved with both restraining orders being granted.

Being charged with something doesn't mean you actually did anything. Read when people are arrested, generally they are "over charged" just so the States Attorney can plea crimes down or dismiss for lesser charges. This way the States Attorney can claim he "won" the case.

True. What do you get when you put two arsholes together and one has a gun? = one less arshole.

Really? Because comparing the behavior of adolescents to adults isn't an apples to apples comparison. I did things in my teens (like getting in trouble at school, I'll admit a few suspensions and detentions), which is in no way an example of how I act today, as a man (same age now as Zimmerman, mind you).

And I know, I've heard it.. people talking about pictures of him giving the bird to the camera, none of us are above goofy pictures.. wouldn't you say Luke?

If you are friends with me on facebook, you can see a big family photo, taken at my nephews wedding. If you look closely my dad - at the age of seventy-five - is flipping the bird.

A goofy picture is just that, a goofy picture. This is why I have a strict policy in regards to pictures. Only a few on the internet, although my step-father took an aerial shot without my knowledge, Seal had a good laugh about that one.
