Being a "drug addict" does NOT mean that your life is worthless. You can bet on that! What it does mean, is that the odds are stacked against you, even if it is by your own choosing. Some, not all, even make it. They end up moving on with their lives, having families, maintaining good jobs, buying homes and living just like you.

Your comments are ignorant, in my opinion. I feel sad because of them.

He had every opportunity because of who he was and what happened to him to turn his life around, and he wasted every opportunity. He was a drug addict, a wife beater, and showed disrespect for the law. I have no sympathy or empathy for him.

He actually did turn his life around. He hadn't had any problems with the law recently and we don't fully understand yet the circumstances surrounding his death. I don't think it's fair to jump to conclusions.

I think it's a shame because he got his **** together and he was a living example of how someone can recover from a very low point in their life.

That cop is a problem. But most of those guys (and ladies) out there with badges are not short of integrity or courage.

Look, I have as much problem with our "justice" system as anyone, but you can't label all cops based on the mistakes of a few.

Beyond all that ****, I find this particular comment ignorant and insulting. Some of those people would risk their ass to help you, despite the fact that you feel that way.

I should get a ticket for speeding every time I get behind the wheel...I usually go about 75 through East Peoria every morning. Do I deserve to die?

No, seriously, East Peoria is my hometown and I never do more than 8 or 9 over though there. And that's only when I'm in a huge hurry.

When did I say he deserve to die? I said I don't care that he died...there's a difference. If you were convicted of robbery and assault on your wife and daughter...I wouldn't care if you died. Luckily, I'm positive that will never happen to you
