My brother in Virginia Beach is an engineer. His wife loves to shop for jewelry and clothes. She makes him believe she is getting the best prices for the best quality. So, he thinks she is brillant! Meanwhile, she spoils herself with all kinds of gems and gold. She also drives the best of four of their cars. Smart woman, my sister-in-law is! I'm going to send him a copy of this. My sister-in law is in Texas for a week spending his money right now!

MsGem, this was great... I sent it to my son-in-law, the Engineer!!

Teacher!!!! I am shocked you would say your sister-in-law is spending her husband's money!! That is a throwback to the 50's!!! I am proof positive that after years of marriage, half of everything is mine!! Half his income, half his retirement, half the stock.... The way I see it, we earned everything together.....

Please tell me he doesn't "babysit" is children....

My sister-in-law never worked! She raised my nephew at home which is very hard work. She has always taken really great care of my brother and nephew. She is very smart but more self-educated with research etc. My brother never wanted her to work! He respected all her parenting with their child and family planning.

She cleaned, cooked, baked, sewed, shopped for everything, and helped my nephew with homework. She also planned many trips and they have traveled to many places all over the country. My brother would have never done all those things if she was not a part of his life and he admires and respects her highly!

She is not shy about spending his money, either. Oh and my brother has always been a very hands on father, too! My brother would carry and play with his son until he was too tall tall to carry anymore and he still plays with him and gives him fatherly advice!

He is also a very lucky man. She has made him very happy. She completely understands him. He can be a real nerd, sometimes!
He would take girls out on dates before he was married and bore them with engineering conversation. He was too intellectual for some of the girls he dated, too. She was never really intimidated by it.
