Anyone know how to hot wire a car?

I still havent found those keys and my brother stood me up yesterday so last night I finally remembered I had emergency road service so I called them.. I told them to get me an idea what it would cost to just have a locksmith come out to make a new lock/key. Well.. apparently this little rink a dink town only has one locksmith because they called my brother who had already told me he was too busy to do it for me. Of course he told them he couldn't get here until today and it would cost me $125 out of pocket.. they only pay up to 50 so his charge is 175 for emergency services which he couldnt do and $90 if he came out during the day. Well, they kept trying to find me a locksmith and finally called me back at midnight and said they found one that would charge me $200 but would not agree to accept their voucher so I would have to pay the entire fee up front.
Its not the money either because I would have gladly paid it Tuesday just to avoid all this hassle. Anyway.. John's taking me to work again today, that will cost me another $15 so totaling all the gas I've paid out I'm already down $40 and I've only made it to work 2 days. At this point, if brother dearest don't make it today I'm seriously considering hot wiring it. On top of that, my fridge went down last week and my washer went down this morning. Who broke the d@mn mirror and blamed it on me? |

Depending on the age of the car, hotwiring or changing the ignition won't work.
Raoul's idea is the best & cheapest route. Just take the title with you, go to a dealership for that make of car and ask them to make or order a key(s) based on the vin number. |

If the car is not an early model chipped key and just a regular key the total cost should not be that high. But this is Christi and there will now be the beginning of the rest of the story that prevents a simple resolution to a relatively common and easily solved situation.

When I moved into my mom's old place, I shut down her fridge 'cause I brought my own unit. Still sitting there, out in the kitchen. You want the thing?
When I first unplugged it, I forgot to remove all the food inside. It spoiled. Didn't detect the odor right away, because I'm always burning strawberry incense ... a holdover tradition from my hippy days. Once the interior got ultra-ripe, I investigated. As if the rotten food wasn't enough, a few thousand gnats had somehow worked their way inside, where they all eventually expired. As I don't have a dolly, and NEVER allow anyone through the front door {I'm very open online, extremely private in real-world affairs}, my only recourse was to wrap the fridge up in a couple hundred feet of aluminum foil. However, the unit is still in nice shape. All a person needs to do is -- cut the foil ... scrape out all that putrid food ... get rid of all those damn dead gnats -- and they'll have plenty of cold drinks in no time flat. Interested? I could let you have it for just $100. |

You have done what I thought was impossible.... you actually moved further up on the bizarre dude scale. A couple hundred feet of aluminum foil, no front door access, my god man... seek help immediately. Even IF that
Rather than count it all as lost though Stardom, a resourceful guy like you oughta be able to fashion all that foil into a new ship to get back home in. |

Star when i first started reading your post, I thought "cool, he's giving her a frig". THEN I read on, and found out that the frig is completely, ruined, contaminated, and should have been buried LONG ago! THEN I READ ON, and found that you wanted to SELL it to her? OMG dude. Just the thought of that makes me sick! Christi, if you need a frig, lemme know. I will find you one.
