jb: you dream that cause you're not getting enough.

i dream every single night just about. always in color and always very vivid. i have woken up crying and laughing and angry...you name it. one night i dreamt i was trying to get out of a burning building but my hands had caught on fire. i woke up to find my hands had fallen asleep.

i have dreamed books and short stories and nightmares galore. the nightmares are always the worst.

You dream in color, too, Lily....so do I..I haven't heard of many people who do. Sometimes I will wake up the same way, wonderin' if its for real, or angry...confused. I hate that!!
What bothers me the most is when I dream about my Mom...she doesn't speak and is always crying..

I have frequent dreams that I am best friends with celebrities. Once I even got down and dirty with Brad Pitt.

I also dream often that I am the guardian to children in the news. Remember Elian Gonzalez? I dreamt about him all the time

Waaaay cool that you dream about being the guardian of children!! Brad Pitt though? Wellllll.... let's just say he fell from grace with me when he dumped his wife for a tart. Not that I'm against divorce. Lord knows I've had my share. lol BUT.... the way he went about it was beyond tacky and cruel. I don't have anything against his pal George Clooney though. But I'd like to. ME! lol

In answer to your question, Flip, yes, I do enjoy trying to analyze my dreams. Wish I knew how to do so better.

I dream in color mostly but occasionally black and white. For several years I had a recurring dream that was always in b&w, and the overall dream remained the same with bits added here and there. Pre-computer days, so I forced myself to get out of bed and type the dream out on my word processor each time it recurred. Years later I came across that floppy disk and reread all of it and it really was interesting. I couldn't believe how much I'd forgotten over time.

Btw... someone who seemed quite good at dream analysis once told me that dreaming of being pregnant didn't necessarily represent the birth of a human being. It could represent the birth of an idea, a change in a persons' life, etc....



Has anyone ever had dreams (of the nocturnal variety) that come true?

Never have had a black & white dreams always very vivid and in color. I have experienced the sleep paralysis and that can be scarey.
