I'm a really big fan of Schock. Not because he is a Republican either. The first time I met him was at the Bartonville fish fry about 6 years ago. He was still on the schoolboard then I think. I looked over and he was sitting next to my son at the picnic table. My son was only about 3 years old then and didn't know who Aaron Shock was, but my son started talking to him anyway. Aaron didn't ignore him, he just talked right back to him like he was another adult.

I've run into him in quite a few more times since, both on a professional and personal level. Same results each time. He's just a good guy. Glad to see him doing so well for himself.

Personally, I love Aaron Schock... He's aways been very attentive to the average person. Could be a put on, but he seems genuine. I saw him in person only the time he came and spoke to the children at Lincoln Middle school when I was teaching there a couple years ago. He sounded sensible although I don't agree with all he does, I like him well enough.
