YAY DAD!!! That is wonderful!!! My kids have no game systems here since they have 8, yes you read right, 8 gaming systems at their dad's.

We had one once and my son did not go out and play, he didn't talk to the family, all he wanted to do is play that stupid thing so i got rid of it.

8 wow  .... ours have 1 use it mostly to watch movies ps2 . 

We have a time limit on screen time (TV, computer, Wii, etc). 1 1/2 hours per day. Once you've used all of your time you're done for the day. It taught time management and saved a lot of arguments. I would set the timer when they started playing and stop the timer when they were done and then record the time on a time log so they could see how much time they had used and had left.

Too funny, sounds like something my pops would have done.

Good for you CJ... I also limited my step sons screen time. I gave him two hours and was lenient if it was for a movie the family was watching. But if it was general play.. two hours no more.

we only had atari growen up  but i also was out playen baseball and riden bikes daily my kids arent as sporty as me but they dont play video games daily also which is good

That is really pitiful.. Children really don't need to spend that much time playing videos. I honestly believe it causes children to become less active and that creates many other problems to boot.
