let's see, uhm, hooters,..... some of the flea market type events down on the river front are entertaining.. and.. this is tough. uhh... oh yeah! that really old oak tree downtown is cool to look at.

now there is plenty of entertaining stuff just outside of peoria, festival of lights, pumpkin festival, haunted houses - three sisters park / spook hallow etc, tanners orchard, the medieval fair.. and so on, and so on...

I was born and raised in Peoria this is my home, my roots, part of my soul ! I did live in Denver for 5 years but my heart always was here could not wait to return.

Grandview Drive is awesome, my do you think Preident Roosevelt named it WMBD ( World's Most Beautiful Drive )

1. Ability to get anywhere in town within 20 mins (and the number of bridges to cross the river - we're fortunate for a town of this size)
2. Riverfront area and all the summer events held there (I agree with tapeworm)
3. The small town feel, with many of the big city amenities (I know many may disagree, but this is my opinion as a transplant from Indy)
4(Bonus). Proximity to Chicago, St. Louis, and Indy

It's small enough that you can go anywhere and probably see somone you know.
The buses will get you pretty much anywhere you need to go, and every 15 minutes you get downtown orto the mall.
When it happens, those awesomely intense midwest storms!
(followed by, not this year, but late fall and early spring)

1) The airport so I can fly to someplace else.

2) The bus depot (not the one downtown, the other one) so I can ride to someplace else.

3) I-74 so I can speedily drive someplace else.

Hi Diane. Had a few minutes so I thought I'd check in to see what's happening at PDC. Sounds like your plate's pretty full with D150 huh?

#2 The WOMEN are the best!

#3 The high school sports highlights on the news, you just don't get that in a large market, it really is a treasure.

#1. The fact that I even moved here, cause I met my wife here.
#2. Behr Inc.
#3. The ability to leave and go somewhere else, cause I can't be here for more than a few days without getting away for a day or two.

#4 (Bonus, cause other people did it too.) I love that it's not Pekin, cause that place smells, and the fact that I can go around the George O. whatever building to get to the other side of town, cause that place reeks like $hit.
