RE: Girl Violence on the Peoria.com Forums

Parents are always surprised when they realize that their little girls could be either violent or a victim of violence!After all, they are laypersons and it is really difficult to comprehend that girls can be this cruel.

As a seasoned teacher in middle school and high school my entire career, I have been aware of this violence for at least twenty years! It is not just a problem in a city...!

Last night, I was watching Nancy Grace and she was shocked that these were GIRLS that behaved this way on video tape!

She was a prosecutor in Atlanta, Georgia for at least 18 years. I am confused that she was completely unaware of this violence! She is a victims advocate and she never had to deal with any of these cases?

Girls at Risk: Middle School and High School--Beautiful, Smart, and usually very admired by the guys!.....Every incident that I ever encountered with this, was a pure act of Jealousy!

I think the media needs to stop showing pieces of the video on TV. I was watching the Today's show this morning and I don't know how many times they showed it. I hope they get charged as adults. I heard it this morning that the part of the video we keeping seeing on the news is after they knocked her out. Thank God she is still alive!!! Girls are cruel. I have known that since grade school!

This girl is damaged for life! She has lost vision in her left eye and hearing in her left ear. It is so difficult to watch(on video) but it is so common today!

That is terrible!!! I just don't know how people can do this kind of stuff!

Ditto! Violence of any kind is so disturbing to me!

It happened again...this time to a TEACHER. Its on the Today Show this morning.

Fip I heard about the teacher also and the PRINCIPLE asked her what she did to cause it... NOW come on!!!

Yeah, the principle said the teacher used a "trigger" word towards the student by telling the student "if you hit me I will defend myself" WTF!

This story is a very common one in today's society. It is a story that is EXTREMELY UNREPORTED!

Please pray for our teachers! We are very UNPROTECTED! And nobody seems to CARE!

I heard this morning (yes, the Today Show) that these girls ARE being charged as ADULTS for Kidnapping & Assault. They are also being held in without bond!!
