If you lose your cell phone and have the insurance, how does it work to get a new one?

Specifically with Verizon.

You call asurion, and they charge the deductible to your card, and your new phone will arrive tomorrow.

when mikes broke yrs ago thru sprint by east p walmart they just swaped it in the store . never had a lost or stolen .

You can go through their website and file the claim as well as suspend the lost phone. One of my kids has had his replaced three times so I've always done it this way. They do charge you the deductible, though, but the overnight FedEx shipping is free.
