If a "had to wear a jacket and tie" place opened, I would support it as much as possible. When I go out to one of the Peoria "better" places and want a relaxing dinner in a more formal atmosphere, nothing is as depressing as being next to a table of people dressed in sweats, "T"s, flip-flops and ballcaps that act like they are Buffalo Wild Wings. Heck, I'm sure there are enough like minded people in Peoria that would support a 50 seat restaurant of this caliber. If I wasn't as super happy with my current job, I'd offer to be their Chef.

3o9 is a huge place. I can't imagine the operational expense that place would generate not to mention the likely hood of a triple net lease.

IF (and that is one of the HUGEST IFs EVER) I ever decided to have my own place again, it wouldn't be any bigger than where I'm at (36 seats) and I'd hire MJH to make people be polite or leave.

What about the seize the deal or living social coupons that they just sold - the buy $30 of food/drink for $15. I feel sorry for all the people stuck with worthless paper now. Wonder if it was a last ditch effort to get some $ coming in. If they know about the closing at that time - well shamo on them. I didn't buy any because I thought the food was bad and the staff really rude. They didn't care much about the customers.

Not to worry there are louder and louder rumblings about possible lawsuits on the coupon issue and other matters. Some of the coupons might even have been sold on the day it closed.. However, that is unclear.

About a month ago an email was sent out advertising some really good deal om prme rib. When people got to the restaurant the dining room was closed off and shut down and people were seated in the bar area. When people asked for the prime rib special the waiter didnt know anything about it, People held firm in their orders. Server went to the kitchen to check what could be done. Server came back and the deal was honored.
