every time Obama gives us an unscripted, no teleprompter glimpse into his TRUE beliefs, the left response with "it was out of context!"

Nothing could have been more IN CONTEXT with what the man truly believes...and that is what scares the hell out of me. With four years of proven history behind him, I believe that a good number of people that he snowed the last time around with his charm are not going to be snowed again. They know, or at least have glimpsed on a few occasions, the REAL man beneath the normally polished veneer. It may not be enough to make the vote Romney, but it sure as hell will make a bunch of them stay home.

Will Romney win? Who knows, there are still a lot of idiots out there who have not seen, or are unwilling to see, the true Obama. They'll vote for him. Worse, there are people out there, I hesitate to call them Americans, who KNOW what he is and still support him for a second term.

This is what I've been trying to say:

http://news.yahoo.com/add-it-up--the-prediction-mode

The only area where I disagree with the author is his contention that Romney was a poor choice for the Repub nominee.

@AV8R:

So when Mitt said that "I like to fire people"- the right didn't say anything about context?

and where the bible says "There is no god" Psalm 14:1-3

You are right context is just a lame excuse for whining liberals.

Both Parties will continue to increase our debt and neither candidate can show otherwise. I thought Obama was "wishy" washy but Romney takes that prize. Is there a Nobel for him, simply priceless.

Americans do not take to change well. The reason the Healh Care bill is so "wildly unpopular" is because a), it's a change in how we're used to dealing with insurance and b), it's been sensationalized in the right wing media, who DOES have the louder voice, that it's bad.

The problem with all the speculation, all the back and forth bickering, the slams on Obama, etc is exactly what is written half way through the article:

"Why? Because, to put it bluntly: The Republicans have nominated a bad candidate."

If the Republicans would have mustered up a strong candidate, I would probably agree that Obama is probably not going to win re-election. But Romney is a dweeb that's already stuck his foot in his mouth multiple times over the last few months. He doesn't instil a sense of confidence.

It's all going to come down to the last month of the campaign season. That's when we'll probably have a clearer vision of how the race could end.

I'd really like to see the direction of the conversation change form what Obama failed at and what he can't do, to what Romney can do.

Because no where do I see anything about what he brings to the table. There's no pro-Romney. It's all just Anti-Obama

@HipKat:

President Obama has laid out very few specifics on what he would do with a second term. The grand irony is the Obama campaign as well as the mainstream media criticize Romney for the lack of specifics, after providing far more than Obama ever has. Obama’s stump speeches today are largely the same old message as he rolled out in 2010 and 2011: more spending, more infrastructure, and magically…more jobs.

The truth is Obama’s economic plan is a house of cards. The public, by large margins, is against another large stimulus. The evidence is clear that although infrastructure spending may have a positive economic impact in the ‘out years’ (meaning a duration of decades), it does not have much economic impact in the short term. Obama himself now accepts that ‘shovel ready jobs’ never existed. Those jobs were always an illusion created in a liberal think tank, not on the roads and byways of America.

So all that is left of the liberal solutions to our economic doldrums is to throw money blindly at the problem, and hope for the best: The Krugmanian solution, as it were. But we all know where that ends up, don’t we?

For too long now, "We The People" have had to go to the polls and vote for the lesser of two evils.

Actually Obama laid out a very specific jobs bill that Congress has failed to act on. With a functional congress, normally the leaders of the House and Senate would take the proposal, have several meetings to make amendments to the proposal that would create a bill that both houses of congress could pass and the president would sign ... but that isn't going to happen with a Congress devoted to making sure that the country fails...

@joepyeweed:

This country is failing because we import everything. The only things that are made in this country are ag products and if farming would have been ruined by the unions more than they have tried that industry would be over seas also.

Climate and geography will have more affect on the agricultural industry than unions ever could. You can't export the thick layers of topsoil we have here in central Illinois to the mountains of India or the tundra of Russia.

We're either the greatest country in the world or we're failing, can't have it both ways. And if you have an issue with imports, blame your fellow consumers for not demanding (and being willing to pay for) more locally-made products.

Purchasing products is quite frustrating. I checked the label on the "Off Clip-on", a Johnson & Johnson product, that I bought. On the bottom of the package, in very tiny print, it says Device made in China, Refills made in Mexico. I try to buy American, but it is difficult sometimes.

Even just sticking to produce is hard. Some farm stands ship foods in to supplement what they sell from their own fields.
