When did bullsh!t become acceptable language on basic cable?

a while back . the language on mtv is far worse tho

The Invisible Kid (1988) rated PG, has a scene with full frontal nudity.

Maybe it's just me but I think censorship has gotten more strict over the years, not less strict.
