Is anyone watching this mini-series? I watched the first night and am getting ready to watch night 2. Night 1 was pretty good.

I watched the second one last night and will finish the third tonight. I couldn't believe how easy it was for them to kill each other with no remorse. And why did they have to make Bill Paxton look so bad? He is a good looking guy!

You can meet him - his band is playing tomorrow night at Bogie's and Saturday night at the Rhythm Kitchen.

Bogie's is on Sterling south of Forest Hill.

Rhythm Kitchen is on the riverfront - Water street in the Contemporary Arts Center.

I don't know the exact time, but they usually start around 8 or 9 and play until midnight or later.

They play a mix of older tunes, rock, southern rock, blues, older stuff.

A typical set list includes:

Charlie Daniels Band, Steve Earl, Van Morrison, Buddy Guy, Rolling Stones, REO, Neil Young, The Band, Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Warren Haynes, Bob Seger, Marshall Tucker, Jethro Tull... old stuff like that... they typically will play one original song... They will start with slower country stuff and then end the night with louder rock stuff.
