Today I read Romney put his dog on top of his car in an "airtight" kennel for possibly a 12 hour car ride but somehow his son reports that halfway thru the trip, a brown liquid was running down the car windows so obviously the dog wasn't let out enough to release his waste OR was so scared he sh**/pi**ed himself. And if it was *airtight* as Romney claims, how did the liquid escape if air couldn't????
This link is even from the conservative darling: Faux News
http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2012/01/13/romneys-do

Santorum is all for tort reform and apparently wants to cap medical malpractice claims at $250,000 each except for the time his WIFE sued a chiropractor for $500,000. When she had $18k in medical bills. Sounds like a bogus malpractice claim if I've ever heard of one. Not to mention that he is ALSO against abortions in which the mother's life is threatened, oh yeah except when his WIFE had one. His wife is apparently his exact polar opposite which would make her as First Lady rather contradictory!

Not really even going to mention ol' boy Newt with his well known disregard for the sancitity of marriage and his hypocritical lambasting of Clinton while cheating on his own wife OR his ethics issues and being offically reprimanded by the House.

So, bottom line conservatives, who is your vote going to????

for the record, I don't think Santorum's wife had an abortion in the sense you think. A spontaneous abortion = miscarriage.

She did have an affair with a man 40 years older than her, who was an abortion doc.

I am definitely not a fan of Santorum, but I like to keep things factual. If I post falsehoods, I hope people correct me (with civility).

If you could, can you supply us with a link to support your claim of spontaneous miscarriage. Preferably from a source not Faux News. This is an excerpt from my link in my original post:

Neonatal specialists consider 24 - 26 weeks the earliest a viable infant can be delivered, and even then the baby faces enormous risks and lifelong complications. The earliest delivery I could find is 21 weeks and that figure is controversial. No one would expect a fetus suffering from a raging, deadly infection to survive a 20 week delivery. Rather than treat the problem and hope for the best, the choice was made to INDUCE FULL LABOR at four and a half months, expel a nonviable fetus, and terminate the pregnancy.
Rick Santorum agreed to what he and his prolife cohorts define as a partial birth abortion, and for a very good reason, to save his wife's life. Karen Santorum was reportedly upset at first, but later noted had she died it would have deprived her other young children of a mother. And she's absolutley right.

Here I found a good link for you. It's from a site called Life News and is a pro-life, Santorum supporting site:
http://www.lifenews.com/2012/01/06/liberal-web-site-
See below where it says "Life-saving, induced early delivery"?? That's a late term abortion that is done when the doctors know for a fact that the mother's life is in danger and induce labor despite being completely sure the fetus will NOT LIVE. Making a fetus come out that won't live= Abortion.

Karen Santorum’s difficult pregnancy and resultant life-saving, induced early delivery is no secret; in a 2004 interview with NPR’s Terry Gross, her husband characterized the 1996 procedure as a harrowing but necessary. Karen, in her 19th week of pregnancy, received a risky surgery to save a pregnancy that doctors thought had little chance of survival. After the surgery, she came down with an infection, and doctors told Rick that unless the source of the infection — the fetus — was removed, his wife would die and his already-born children would be motherless. The doctor also told Santorum that his wife’s fetus would not survive outside of the womb. According to Santorum, Karen went into labor as a result of the antibiotics, and then doctors gave her a drug that further induced labor. She delivered, and unfortunately the doctors were right.

Conservative writer Dana Loesch says Jezebel “confuses an attempt to undergo surgery to save the life of her child with procedures a woman undergoes a to end the life of her child.”

I wasn't debating liberal vs conservative....just wanted to put the same facts out there for all sides. We live in a fallen world where no one is perfect, but thanks for the Rebublican information. It is helpful.

BTW, I'm not in favor of govt making choices for me. Just so you know where I stand on the issue.

Oh I am FAR from perfect which is why I don't run for any political positions or try to create laws enforcing my beliefs on anyone. If a mother wants to die so that her fetus can live, she should have that right. If a mother somewhere wants to have 15 children that she is unable to feed, go right ahead. I will do neither but feel I can co-exist peacefully with women who do so. I only wish they felt the same.

I agree with this, lanestar! and I can co-exist peacefully with women who choose to abort their fetus as well.

I agree with you as well. I lean to the conservative side, but the Republican Ticket is a mess. I think if you really study them....well they really aren't that conservative....lol

Republicans want small gov't...just small enough to fit in a woman's vagina.

http://www.slate.com/articles/double_x/doublex/2012/

So the gov't can't tell a religious organization to offer birth control, that is an over reach of gov't, but we can tell doctors to provide medically unnecessary procedures?

Hypocritical much?

For me, the republicans that are in politics are very conservative on the issues I am least conservative about (depending on how you look at the word "conservative") and I find myself really disliking them all.

Both sides are poison, IMO. I don't think Obama is any worse than the GOP candidates... just for different reasons.
