BE HONEST!
How would you feel if your child's teacher made his/her class go to a website and read a flattering biography of President George W. Bush in an effort to "teach them how to navigate a website?" |

I would not have a problem with any student reading a flattering biography of any president.

I wouldn't have a problem with it. The content was not the point, the navigation lesson was. And even if the teacher was biased, who cares? There's a lot worse **** they could be sending kids to (like pdc, ha!!!).

I am going to guess that one of jnj's kids had to go to a website that said nice things about Obama...

If it wasn't a porn, racist or other negative website, I don't think I would question it so deeply or try to find a hidden meaning in the assignment.
I think teachers really get a bad rap for almost *everything* they do these days. Maybe the teacher felt this website would be perfect for this particular lesson and it just happened to be one on GWB? I wouldn't care if it was on Obama either. I want my kids to make up their own minds regardless of what political leaning I have. |

FFS...they are elementary students...should they read a Bob Woodward book? As into politics as I am, and Abby watches a lot of it with me, I don't want my daughter reading a smear piece on anyone.
