Yeah, making enough money to pay the rent sucks.

A while back ago there was a conversation about this. What is meant by "a little high"? Too rich for ones blood or in comparison to other places?

I think my lawyer charging me $300 an hour "seems a little high".

Love it. Just can't decide if I want to be a coot, codger or geezer. I am well on my way, so I had better hurry up and decide.

I'm only thinking of it from a lunchtime perspective. There's no way I wanna spend more than $10 at lunch for a meal. And like PI said, they give you soup and fries with your sandwich. That's pretty big for a lunchtime meal. Maybe they should drop the soup and lower the prices a buck or two at lunchtime.

Biaggis lunch is awesome! Soup and half salad....for like 7 bucks. Don't order an expensive drink and you got a GOOD and fairly inexpensive lunch!

I don't think they should drop the soup because it was fantastic! My sister and I decided to go there today for lunch. We arrived at around 12:25 and the parking lot was full, so we had to park in the hotel's parking lot behind the building. We entered the building and it only took us 15 minutes to be seated. An employee was passing out smoothie samples while we were waiting and another had a few copies of the Journal Star, which she asked if we were interested in reading while we were waiting.

We were seated and I ordered the Wild Berries Burger, which had a mix of cheese and avocado on it. I thought it was fantastic. The waffle fries were great too. My sister ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap and she said it was good!

Our total came to just under $24. There is a ton on the menu and I'm excited to go back and explore the rest of the menu.

About paying $12 for lunch there...I don't think that's unreasonable. If you go to McDonald's and get a value meal, some of them are $8, the same ones that used to be under $5. I spent $9.31 on a value meal at Wendy's the other day.

Anyways...my advice...go try Wild Berries! You'll be glad you did! There is something on the menu for everyone!

We've been to the Wild Berries in Bloomington several times and the food has always been good. Last time we were there they were slammed and the service was very slow and the food not as great as before.

My parents took my kids to the one here just last week and said they were there about an hour and a half - I just don't think they were expecting the crowds. I heard the line for the cashier was unbelievable. But honestly, it's the most traffic I've seen that location get out of all the names it's been, so maybe it will do well. But they need to be able to keep up with it or their reputation is going to suffer. Word of mouth goes a long way in this town.

And this seems to be some wild fascination in the Peoria area: a new restaurant opens and people flock to it in droves. I worked in two new restaurants on the east coast and even though one was fairly well promoted, it was far from packed during the opening week. Are we that bored here in Peoria that new restaurant openings are the most exciting thing to do? Is it braggin' rights?

Me? I wait a few months. I let all the "have to be first to check it out people" help get all the food and service kinks worked out before I go spend my money

My good friend and I went there around 11:30am today for a late breakfast. The parking lot was packed and of course the lunch crowd was starting to gather. We had to give our name but was called in 15 min. Our server was excellent, the food came out in a timely manner even though they were swamped. Food was great. I look forward to a return visit to try some of there other offerings.

I have been there a few times now trying out their different breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Their food is out of this world good! The wait may be a touch long at certain times of the day, but that's really only because the restaurant is always packed to the max. Upon my several visits I have seen quite a few returning customers, so I know the restaurant is doing well and not just all 'newcomers'.

Just wanted to say that I ate at Wild Berries for lunch today. I had a Pumpkin French Toast Special and it was delicious. I would highly recommend it. I had heard some negative comments about the food and the service, but our waiter was attentive and informative with specials, pricing and helpful with a toddler along.

One negative is that the floor was not the cleanest and at 11:30 in the morning..that sort of grossed me out..but I haven't felt sick yet, so I'm hoping the kitchen environment was cleaner than the dining area.

:annoyed eye roll:

No. But I did think twice before setting my purse on it.
