I am not sure of the truth of this, but was the owner of Sam's Roadhouse the same owner of Ming's buffet in E Peoria?

I wondered about this Thursday when I drove by around 1 PM and noticed no cars in the parking lot.

I saw it yesterday around 5pm. Empty parking lot (with the exception of a few cars driving around confused) - "For Sale or Lease" on their digital sign.

I don't know if anything can survive there... the overhead has to be outrageous.

I'm sure some huge national chain could but I doubt an independent. Think even huge national chains have downsided a bit.

Seems the parking lot was usually empty.

It is the same owner as either Mings or the other Chinese buffet in EP, I can't remember.

The previous owner was a client of mine...the property taxes alone were over $40,000 a year.

Never went to Sam's, but I am a regular at China Village (now Grand Village). Didn't realize it was the same owner.

IDK, MJH. Cheddars was there a long time, and still may be if the franchise owner didn't want to do his own thing. Perkins exists. Hard to say.
