Peoria.com going dark permanently May 1. on the Peoria.com Forums

As you know, Peoria.com has had its share of bumps and bruises since it's inception in 2007. Well, our illustrious web master and site owner, PDC Joe, has decided to throw in the towel in pursuit of bigger and better things. He was recently offered an opportunity to develop the portals of NewYorkcity.com and LosAngeles.com. We wish Joe well, and must sadly say goodbye to the Peoria.com site on May 1. Please join me in thanking Joe for all he has done, and maybe we can start a yahoogroup or something. I'll miss you guys.

How funny would it be if a few regulars, or possibly even potential new members read this and took it seriously, stopped visiting. Way to go.

It is ironic timing, but it's no joke. The mods have been discussing this at length and it made sense to shut down the site the same date as our fiscal year ends on May 1.

Sad to see it go, I guess I'll see if I can find a mod squad job at pekin.com or something.
